Tanner Industries, Inc. Receives
1996 Product Stewardship Award
Tanner Industries, Inc. received the
National Association of Chemical Distributors Educational
Foundation’s (NACD EF) first annual Chemical
Product Stewardship Award in the Chemical Distributor
category. The NACD EF’s Board of Trustees created
the awards to honor companies from the manufacturing,
distribution, and customer/community sectors that
have exhibited excellence in fostering chemical product
stewardship practices in their businesses throughout
the chain of commerce. The following companies were
chosen to receive awards: Dow Chemical, Manufacturer,
Tanner Industries, Inc., Distributor, and Eli Lilly
and Company, Customer.
Receiving the award
at the Willard Inter-Continental Hotel in Washington
DC for Tanner was President, Brad Tanner, Executive
Vice President, Jack Bowen, and Compliance Officer/QC/QA
David Binder. Tanner has fostered numerous programs
involving outreach activity with customers and emergency
responders as well as the distribution of Product
Stewardship Bulletins and various training programs.
